Widowed in 2003 after 25 happy years of marriage. Department chair for four health science programs at a community college. RN since 1988. Nurse Practitioner since 2000. Nurse educator since 2002. Jeopardy! champ in 1995 - I won a bunch of money and went on the Tournament of Champions, where I got handed my ass in a sling. Paid my way through graduate school with my winnings.
I enjoy sci-fi, fantasy, needlework and gourmet cooking. I hail from Texas and am the proud cat mommy to two lovable ginger toms, Punkin and Latté. After 30 years as an adult I finally bought my first home and Hurricane Ike just recently removed half of my roof. Having a home of my own is still an awesome thing.
I have lots of wonderful friends, and many of them are on LJ. You know who you are and I love you all.
